Title: Market Intelligence Associate
Location: Remote (from Phoenix, Indianapolis, or Minneapolis metro areas)
Type: Full Time Permanent
Compensation: $55,000-70,000
This role focuses on building meaningful connections within the Power & Utilities space by leading thoughtful, insight-driven conversations. You’ll engage industry professionals to understand their perspectives, gather real-world input, and help shape internal strategy. Success comes from strong relationships and valuable insights—not sales targets.
Your role:
· Reach out to professionals across the Power & Utilities industry with a thoughtful, relationship-first approach
· Lead conversations centered on listening and learning rather than selling products or services
· Ask relevant, insightful questions to understand industry challenges, priorities, and trends
· Capture and document key takeaways, including exact language and recurring themes, in internal systems
· Share context and warm connections with internal teams when opportunities naturally develop
· Collaborate with internal partners to organize, tag, and refine collected insights
· Provide feedback to improve outreach messaging, positioning, and overall market understanding
· Represent the organization as a knowledgeable, respectful, and non-sales-focused partner
What you’ve got:
· Strong communication skills with an ability to build trust quickly in conversations
· Natural curiosity and a genuine interest in learning from others, willing to ask probing questions
· Comfort engaging with senior-level professionals in a professional setting
· Ability to listen actively and translate conversations into clear, actionable insights
· Comfortable operating in a brand new role and helping define the process and the role
· Organized approach to documenting and managing information consistently
· Interest in the Power & Utilities industry, with willingness to learn quickly
· Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fully remote environment
· Based in the U.S. and currently located in the Phoenix, Indianapolis, or Minneapolis metro area
Preferred:
· Experience in research, customer conversations, or relationship-focused roles
· Familiarity with CRM tools or knowledge management systems
· Exposure to industry analysis, market research, or insight gathering processes
